Sugar bowl, silver-gilt, ellaborately decorated in relief with scrollwork, foliage and flowers. Two rising scrolling handles, the detachable lid has spiral gadroons and a fruit finial. The bowl is engraved in a cartouche on each side with arms, a fess between three bees, beneath a coronet, identified by M. Wellby as for Barberini, Counts of France and Italy.
